Channing School is an independent day school for girls aged 4-18 at Highgate Hill in Highgate, North London. Channing School is a member of the Girls’ Schools Association. The junior school is for pupils aged four to eleven and includes the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), in April 2015, awarded Channing School the highest possible judgements in each category inspected, saying ‘The quality of the pupils’ achievements and learning is exceptional’.[1]
The Good Schools Guide called the school “A sheltered, isolated school in a beautiful setting, less pressured than many London girls’ schools but still getting excellent results and producing self-assured young women.

11+ and 13+ Test
For 2021 because of the pandemic Channing School which traditionally uses the 11+ consortium as is 11+ test administrator has chosen to administer the ISEB Common Pre-Test for Entry into year 7 for September 2021.
Key Dates for 11+ 2021 Entry
Closing date for applications: 18th November 2020
ISEB Common pre-test must be completed: On or before Friday 15th January 2021
Option to sit ISEB Common pre-test at Channing: Thursday 7th January 2021
11+ interviews will take place: January 2021
Result of application emailed to parents: Friday 12th February 2021
Closing date for acceptance of offer: Wednesday 3rd March at 12 noon.
